Pickie Chickie Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 So God sent an angel to tell Ernie Knoll to suggest that everyone read the book Creeping Compromise and that is the most important thing we are supposed to read according to God? If a book were to be suggested by God, I would think perhaps Steps To Christ would be more appropriate. But, who am I to say?
Master Po Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Richard it is true Creeping Compromise is not new light, but it is good relevant light for today. As well as a host of books of EGW. And of course the golden counsel of the Bible. And yes you are right Oldsailor29, there is a lot of false representations of God on the internet, but if you dig for the golden stones, you will find them. :)
Pickie Chickie Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 We have a sarcastic prophet on our hands. Wow!
Master Po Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I gather the more important books are the KJV Bible and the Great Controversy, and then Creeping Compromise. And I like Steps to Christ to. That is an excellant book.
Master Po Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Oh my who you calling sarcastic Pickie ? LOL

Like Joseph Smith dug for the golden stones? :) "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you. Pickie Chickie Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Yes, I can be sarcastic because I'm not a prophet!
Guest Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I'm curious Master Po, What good do you see in the dreams? I mean other than entertainment, what are they good for?
SivartM Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 You all need help. LOL Excellent answer to Richard's question. :) "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you. Master Po Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I'm curious Master Po, What good do you see in the dreams? I mean other than entertainment, what are they good for? Mr Holbrook, I do not mean to question your Christianity or the depth thereof, but what good do you see in the Bible? In EGW's writings ? Does Steps to Christ just give you a few moments of entertainment reading? Does the Great Controversy give you an entertaining view of some readers fancy of how things might be in some far fetched twisted state of affairs ? Does the book Creeping Compromise do nothing but bring some laughter to you when you read of someone who 20 some years ago realized the problems that was being faced THEN of the modern world and it's temptations ? Does Ernie Knolls dreams seem to bring an entertaing view of a battle many many years down the road in some far fetched imaginative mind of an individual who has had a battle with their Christian life ? For me the dreams tell me that the battle is near, knocking on the door, knocking more every day, and Jesus is asking us to get ready, and to get others ready as well. What more could Jesus ask of us ?

oldsailor29 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I would just like to learn about something specific which was the subject of Ernie Knoll's dreams. Prs God, frm whm blssngs flw http://www.zoelifestyle.com/jmccall
LifeHiscost Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I would just like to learn about something specific which was the subject of Ernie Knoll's dreams. http://www.formypeople.org/heaven%20painting.html oldsailor, I want you to know in giving this URL of Ernie's home page, I do not in any way support his ministry. I have found some of his comments or dream descriptions to be contrary to the Spirit of the Word, if not in direct contradiction to the Bible itself. However rather than restrict your own right to draw your own conclusions, this web page will perhaps give you more than enough information to compare with the Scripture, to come to a settled platform of belief. I only encourage you to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as you make your decisions. As to whether Ernie Knoll is a good place to go to receive information, that needs to be your choice. BTW one of the reasons I've determined there are subtle misleading remarks in his ministry is based on his observation that a person has not truly forgiven if he/she has not forgotten the offense. If this were true then Jesus wouldn't be able to answer this question when asked after He is in the kingdom of heaven. "And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’" Zechariah 13:6 NKJV Blessings! Lift Jesus up!!
LifeHiscost Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I've found these statements to be helpful in understanding the merits of Christ: "Through the merits of the Redeemer, God accepts the efforts of sinful man in keeping His law, which is holy, just and good" Sons and Daughters of God p. 41 "It is God's design to restore that similitude by giving to man victory over sin and over every temptation. The restoration will be completed at the second coming." 7BC 649 "Perfection now is ours only in Christ, but the ultimate, all-comprehensive transformation of our lives into the image of God will take place at the Second Advent ... Neither Christlike character traits nor faultess behaviour is the ground of our acceptance with God. Saving righteourness comes from the one righteous Man Jesus and is conveyed to us by the Holy Spirit. We can contribute nothing to Christ's gift of righteousness - we can only receive it. No one other than Christ is righteous; independent human righteousness is only filthy rags. " Seventh-Day Adventists Believe p. 145-6 "If you give yourself to Him, and accept Him as your Saviour, then, sinful as your life may have been, for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ’s character stands in place of your character, and you are accepted before God just as if you had not sinned." CSA 30 Beautiful, needs to be repeated. And it is being repeated around the globe, one of the major, if not the major reason the gospel is going like wildfire around the globe. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."Matthew 24:14 NKJV Blessings! Lift Jesus up!!

Guest Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I like those verses. "Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death" Philippians 3:8-10 NKJV
LifeHiscost Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 That is the part that Red fails to grasp. It will not be the same for those living when Jesus comes, as it is for those who have died. "Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality."Acts 10:34 NKJV Blessings! Lift Jesus up!!
Guest Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Those who are living upon the earth when the intercession of Christ shall cease in the sanctuary above, are to stand in the sight of a holy God without a mediator. Their robes must be spotless, their characters must be purified from sin by the blood of sprinkling. Through the grace of God and their own diligent effort, they must be conquerors in the battle with evil. {GC88 425} The ones who have died never had to do this.

Through the grace of God and their own diligent effort, they must be conquerors in the battle with evil. While the investigative Judgment is going forward in Heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among God's people upon earth. This work is more clearly presented in the messages of Revelation 14. {GC88 425.1} "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. "John 14:18 NKJV "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”"Hebrews 13:5 NKJV Blessings! Thank you LifeHiscost, for the link. As I started to read the dreams, I could see that they were merely dreams of what had been previously written. Even the dream about the rock music, although a current topic, is not a new revelation. I didn't read further, so whoever supports his ministry will need to point to something Ernie declares that is new. I know there are many new revelations available for a prophet to receive. I'm no prophet, but I have discovered several previously unmentioned jewels of light myself. If Ernie Knoll is a true prophet, I would expect him to also find these new jewels of knowledge. Everybody seems to be interested in end time prophecies and information. I think there is one aspect which has never been subject of question, probably because it really isn't important, but here it is. The grave and the pit are the same. Satan is not roaming the earth during the millennium, as we have been taught. The earth is not itself the pit. The pit is the grave. During the millennium, Satan is dead, killed by the glory of God, just like everybody else who remains on earth at that time. But, as I said, this isn't really important. Yes of course, this assumes the pre-millennium second advent, and post millennium establishment of the new earth, as we SDAs have always been taught. Woody Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Quote: I do not mean to question your Christianity or the depth thereof Hey ... if you are a prophet in the line of Ellen White ... you should be able to question other's Christianity. You could even make a list of those who are saved and those who are lost. Quote: Does the book Creeping Compromise do nothing but bring some laughter to you Yes, it is mostly comedy and fiction. But it does bring me to tears when I have the thought that some might actually believe it. I personally burned my copy after reading it. May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
