Where in the Bible is the term "Investigative Judgment"?

It's all about the detail's miz3, as I posted on the other thread. The IJ itself is quite clear from the bible. But like many things in the bible, you'll need additional sources of information to fill in the blanks. Ellen White is one of several good sources for that.

The end result? A foundation based on the bible, and the bible alone! There is no mystery here.

What is amazing is that understanding how biblical interpretation works is so difficult for you to grasp. Rarely is new understanding given to a single person, it is in virtually every case, the Spirit working through multiple sources.

If you want to discount any single source, like Hiram Edson in this case, fine. Other sources remain, pointing to the bible. The doctrine won't be confirmed or denied by ONE man or woman. In ALL cases doctrine is a work of many minds coming together, reviewing, studying, comparing and reaching a conclusion based on the bible.

I get the impression that YOU don't need anybody or any outside source for YOUR understanding and correct interpretation of scripture? That the Holy Spirit alone is able to guide you and reveal these things with no outside help of any kind? That you can stand on the bible and the bible alone because your smarter than everybody else who has to rely on the counsel of others.

How sad is that, a person in need of nothing or nobody except his bible alone to determine his own foundation, alone.

Its not about being smarter. You see when we are given the mind of Christ by the Holy Spirit we don't need outside sources. We don't need "point and go".
