"The bondage of worldly habits and customs is so pleasing to the natural heart that it has become well-nigh universal. Few can be found who are willing to deny self that they may walk in the light of Heaven. It is because they know not Christ and obey not the truth, that professed Christians can accept as their portion the pleasures of sense and the changing fashions of a fickle world. Not one of those who have come out from the world, in obedience to the injunctions of Christ, can find pleasure in its amusements or its display.

Many are saying by their course of action, that the line of demarkation between Christians and the world must not be too distinct. They conform to the customs and unite in the pursuits of the lovers of pleasure, in order to retain their friendship, and exert an influence to win them to the truth.

The plea is not new. The same work has been often attempted since the opposing forces of good and evil first existed in the world. The result has ever been the same. Conformity to worldly customs converts the church to the world. It never converts the world to Christ. "The friendship of the world is enmity with God. Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." How can the loyal subjects of the Great King be in harmony with his bitterest foe? When the professed people of God choose the fellowship of the world, what marvel that the presence and blessing of Christ is shut out from the church?" {RH, June 20, 1882 par. 15}

The Holy Spirit stll speaks the same messsage.

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

But...are you a parrot? Do you just mimic words and not know what they mean?

If so, how will others know what you are talking about????

I think the question that comes to my mind is this. If the SDA church today is Truly Jesus Christ's Church Would These Things Come In? I say no!

Do you honestly think God refuses to let people in the SDA church teach or believe false doctrines?

God allowed people in His ancient church to teach and believe and practice many false things.

Also consider the fact that Ellen White herself predicted that one of the things that will cause the shaking is the introduction of false doctrines.

There's also the plain fact that false beliefs and teachings were in the church during the time of Ellen White, yet she never suggested it was reason to leave the SDA church.

God protects the SDA church from falling and becoming a part of spiritual Babylon, but that doesn't mean God keeps out all unconverted people or people who are teaching false doctrines or have false beliefs.

God allows false beliefs to come into the church in order to get us to study and find out what we believe and why we believe it.

I haven't seen evidence that SDAs here are saying they don't care if there are false teachings or practices in the church. What they are saying is that those false teachings are not valid reasons for abandoning the church.

Nowhere in either the Bible or SoP does God tell us that we ought to abandon the church because of what some members do or think.

The word of God itself says that the church on earth will always have tares in it. God doesn't purify the church until just before the second coming. We're not at that point yet, and we must allow God to purify the church and not think it is up to us to purify it for God. Jesus warned us about trying to do that. He said if it was up to humans, we would get rid of some of the wheat.

The truth is we are bad judges of character and of the heart. Those who seem to be wheat may turn out to be tares, and those who seem to be tares can change and become wheat.

I think it has come to a very sad day. And some say why can't you be in the church anymore? How can I when He is calling for me to come out?

It is a sad day all right.

What's really sad is to think that God is calling you and other people out of the SDA church.

Have you read what Ellen White says about this? She speaks of how wrong it is and says it is never to be.

I'm just one putting out a call to look and see. Yes I've been called out of the denominational SDA church into what I find to be the Remnant Church. I been looking for and hoping for reform and return like a few on 3abn put it but not many hear those sad to say. My kind are few anymore on earth in comparison with the general flow of Christianity today.

All I do is follow His Word as close as I possibly can and find it not grievious but actually have found my total freedom within His Will. The denominational churches, all of them have broadened the path so wide that the most would get into His Kingdom and He said it would be the few. Concerned, yes I am.
