Overaged Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 The article says they are saying it....there is no evidence. I repeat: Quote: Brother Gibs; I do not want the "filthy garments" of Satan's accusations against the church; I want no part of the garments of sin and shame that you present here. If you are going to say that I am not "awake;" because of this; then so be it. You have drawn the line in the sand, not me. Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." Gibs Posted December 24, 2011 Author Posted December 24, 2011 I leave you to whatever you want to believe. That is something for you to decide. I bide you to go your way whatever way that is. I pick mine to follow Him only and the guiding of His Holy Spirit Only. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Gibs Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 I think the question that comes to my mind is this. If the SDA church today is Truly Jesus Christ's Church Would These Things Come In? I say no! All I talk to around me here who are SDA's know it is in it and don't care! What is wrong? I think it has come to a very sad day. And some say why can't you be in the church anymore? How can I when He is calling for me to come out? I'm sorry it is this way, if all stood as I stand it wouldn't be. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Gustave Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 People, spiritual formation is a Biblical concept... ...No Christian Church can stand the test of time w/out it. ...It's not a bad thing folks. Such a program had it existed when the SDA's started their church... ...Would have prevented the Trinity disaster within SDA. Quote
Gibs Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Would you have Ignatius Loyola stand behind the pulpit and preach? These are the things he taught but put out is Adventist style and most are enthused by it. It's time to get up and walk out and not be subject to it with the super NLP and body language used. It's an art of hypnotizing the laity and they are succesful to the greatest extent. Satan is an artful deceiver don't we know. Also where do you think he would start to do his work? At the top and the messages given to the people of course! 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Gibs Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Gustave, Then I would say you are a happy member then of something I in no way can or will be a part of. In no way can this be of true solid SDA teaching. That will not go through "that strait and narrow gate". Mt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. It's not a bad thing Gibs - it's simply a way to foster a deeper understanding... ...Of how to listen better to what God wants you to do. ...I'm pretty sure all Christian denominations offer those types of classes. The SDA Church will either get in-line with what it needs to do.... ....Or it will simply go the way of the Kronos temple in Greece. ....And become another forgotten element of religious contemplation. Gibs Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 The Spiritual discernment of the indwelling Jesus Christ is the Spiritual discernment we must have. Not anything from the fallen long ago spiritualisers of the occult world. What is coming in is of Ignatius Loyola and not of Jesus Christ. It is the "discerning of spirits" is the gift needed now and it comes from Jesus Christ's indwelling. Paul says that is our hope of glory. EGW says it is the Divine Nature. 1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: Most can have the gift "discerning of spirits" as that is the universal one really for all who are ONE in Him. And His promise of His Spirit to guide into all truth is a coveted gift also. Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Our safety and safe way is to be with, of and for Jesus Christ and Him and Him Only, not a trace to any other. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. What specifically are you refering to ? Is it his "Spiritual Exercises"? Because if it is, I can tell you right now, that the First Rule is out. No Adventist that I know can lay aside ANY judgement... First Rule: All judgment laid aside, we ought to have our mind ready and prompt to obey, in all, the true spouse of Chris our Lord, which is our Holy Mother the Church Hierarchical. ....let alone promptly obey anything that the Conference says.... Gibs Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 Hamilton, What I am saying is "Christ in You" is the Spiritual that is needed. His Spirit dwells in You. There is no spiritual exercises needed from outside when you have His indwelling. Paul made it clear, Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: EGW speaks of this quite a bit, she calls it His Divine Nature. If you have the disc of her writings type in with the parenthesis "christ in you the hope of glory" and you will get 58 reads she made with those words in that order. His Spirit will exercise you and guide you into all truth. Give Ignatius Loyola the boot! 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ

Gustave Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Here are his "spiritual exercises".... ...Not seeing anything Occultish there at all. The Structure of the Exercises Ignatius organized the Exercises into four “weeks.” These are not seven-day weeks, but stages on a journey to spiritual freedom and wholehearted commitment to the service of God. First week. The first week of the Exercises is a time of reflection on our lives in light of God’s boundless love for us. We see that our response to God’s love has been hindered by patterns of sin. We face these sins knowing that God wants to free us of everything that gets in the way of our loving response to him. The first week ends with a meditation on Christ’s call to follow him. Second week. The meditations and prayers of the second week teach us how to follow Christ as his disciples. We reflect on Scripture passages: Christ’s birth and baptism, his sermon on the mount, his ministry of healing and teaching, his raising Lazarus from the dead. We are brought to decisions to change our lives to do Christ’s work in the world and to love him more intimately. Third week. We meditate on Christ’s Last Supper, passion, and death. We see his suffering and the gift of the Eucharist as the ultimate expression of God’s love. Fourth week. We meditate on Jesus’ resurrection and his apparitions to his disciples. We walk with the risen Christ and set out to love and serve him in concrete ways in our lives in the world. Prayer in the Exercises The two primary forms of praying taught in the Exercises are meditation and contemplation. In meditation, we use our minds. We ponder the basic principles that guide our life. We pray over words, images, and ideas. Contemplation is more about feeling than thinking. Contemplation often stirs the emotions and enkindles deep desires. In contemplation, we rely on our imaginations to place ourselves in a setting from the Gospels or in a scene proposed by Ignatius. We pray with Scripture. We do not study it. The discernment of spirits underlies the Exercises. We notice the interior movements of our hearts, and discern where they are leading us. A regular practice of discernment helps us make good decisions. All the characteristic themes of Ignatian spirituality are grounded in the Exercises. These include a sense of collaboration with God’s action in the world, spiritual discernment in decision making, generosity of response to God’s invitation, fraternity and companionship in service, and a disposition to find God in all things. Spiritual integration is a prominent theme of the Exercises: integration of contemplation and action, prayer and service, and emotions and reason. Quote
Gibs Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 To All, It's simply who you choose to take your spirituality from. When you Truly have Jesus Christ within then any spirituality from outside is rejected and strongly. He is The Spiritual Guide and Spiritual Exerciser We All must have and no other. Jesus has All Power and Ability and can Spiritualize with His Spirit All who will come and fall at His feet broken upon Him the Rock to be His and His Only. That's from where all Blessings flow. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Gibs Posted January 5, 2012 Author Posted January 5, 2012 I just like to add to what I have already stated in previous comments that is, don't for heavens sake pass this off lightly. There is too many seeing it for what it is to do that. We all should take a stand like we had a backbone and not a bowl of jello. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Gibs Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 Because I would like some more to read this letter as when it was on page one many were reading. Also it is an important issue to all in the SDA church I would think. I am not presently a member but would be if reform would return in full. There are many with me there too. This is more of a "bump back up message" but am interested in a come back to original values. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
