Dr. Rich Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 LOL, as though Jesus actually EVER was an employee. What foolishness Marcos! Is it a sin to become resurected? The women went to the tomb AFTER sundown on Saturday (making it the first day of the week according to God's meaning on a day.) They did NOT see Jesus in the tomb because He had already been resurected. It would really be nice for Adventists to speak out for this real truth as it would then take away the excuse for those who say they keep Sunday as the 'Lord's day'. But then those same Adventists built their foundation on the same words the Catholics built their foundation on, the sandy soil.

Members phkrause Posted March 12, 2012 Members Posted March 12, 2012 Hmmm? probably doesn't make much a difference on one's salvation what is the truth here except that Jesus didn't lie and that would mean three, 24 hour days as in 72 hours. He was killed just before sundown on Wed. and rose just before sundown on Saturday. Period So if you believe that it had to be 72 hours, period, than Dr Rich you have no idea of Jewish belief. You need to speak to a Messianic Jew and they'll tell you how they counted the time Jesus spent in the tomb phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. They didn't go just after sundown on Saturday but just around sunrise on Sunday. "After the Sabbath, around dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to take a look at the burial site." Matthew 28:1 Remember Adventists Online?
Dr. Rich Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 That 'dawn' can be twilight, just after the sabbath. God's days are 24 hours regardless of anyone's own opinion, Jew or Gentile. A few days before Jesus asked the question 'isn't the day 12 hours' meaning 12 hours of light being very close to the Spring Equinox. So believe what you want, but I will stick to the words of Jesus and His eyewitnesses.
