So tell me what is the Daily in your opinion? Is it not the sacrificial system the Jews had? Which was fulfilled when Jesus died? Or are you actually saying that the Jews are still sacrificing? Well I can personally tell you they are not! The reason for that is, that they don't have the temple anymore. Without the temple, a minor detail in your book it seems, in Jerusalem there is no "daily" anymore. They are waiting for the temple to be rebuilt. Do you think that will happen? I don't! So when the Romans destroyed the temple in AD 70 the Jews stopped sacrificing. Which really has no bearing on anything anyway. The Daily was finished when Jesus died on the cross. The Jewish sacrificial system pointed to Jesus being the Lamb. So in my reading of the Daily it was finished at the crucifiction of Jesus. Or do you have another plain an simple alternative?

So you don’t see the ‘daily’ as Christ’s ministration in heaven?

What the Jewish priests did in their sand box of a temple was just the type – Christ’s work in heaven is the real thing.

Jesus has been the mediator between guilty man and the Father ever since Adam sinned.

The little horn power magnifies himself all the way to the prince of heaven (Jesus) and causes the daily to be taken away. It’s all about worship and who gets the most.

When Satan comes and claims to be God, he will get a lot of worship. In fact the whole world will worship him (everyone who is not written in the Lamb’s book of life).

As much as historicists want to claim that the whole world worshipped the papacy during the dark ages – it’s just not true. The muslim and asian nations have never acknowledged the pope and they make up half the world’s population.

So God does a "daily" sacrifice each day in heaven? When Jesus died on the cross and the curtain was torn from top to bottom the daily sacrifice's ended, or should've ended, but the Jews continued till the Temple was finally destroyed. Yes the "daily" sacrifice's were here on earth.

Unless they are meaning that the literal sacrifices will be reinstituted in literal Jerusalem, in a literal rebuilt Temple.

If this is what they are proposing, they are falling for the Dispensational Delusion--the Nemesis of what constitutes Historicist-Adventism.

I don't care how one slices it or dices it, if you are not a Historicist, you are not an Adventist. Historicism is what made Adventism. Without it, it falls to pieces.

It is time to abandon Futurism once and for all. It is the voice of the False Prophet. It serves to blind the eyes and take their minds away from the Papacy being that of the Antichrist power.

PK, Lys,

You need to think again on that statement, Historic Adventists were not trinitarians. They didn't use NLP and Super NLP and Lab 1,2,3 and would not have emerging church and the spiritual exercises and all that came in with it. They preached the TRUE Gospel message. All must be overcomers and repentance comes before forgiveness. All must fall on the Rock and be broken, the will and pride broken to be of His will and our love to be His Love. It wasn't and still isn't, just believe and you are saved. It wasn't Jesus done it all, there is nothing for a man to do. Repent and be broken and surrender all is what must be done and not a bit witheld.

Scriptures says, NO!

The KEY is the words of the Lord relative to the setting up of the abomination of desolation as per Daniel. Daniel records the setting up will occur only after the taking away of the 'daily' (Dan 11:31; 12:11). And when the abomination of desolation - which Scriptures say is an idol, an image - had been set up in the holy place, then the 2nd Coming is just around the bend (Matt 24:15-31).

Since the taking away of the 'daily' is an act attributed by Scriptures to the little-horn-king of Daniel 8 (Dan 8:11-13), a simple belief in the words of the Savior will bring us to the inevitable conclusion that the little horn is a king yet to reign in the future shortly before the 2nd Coming of the Lord (Dan 8:23-25; compare with Rev 13:4-7).

The little horn is the beast of Rev 13 whose image is the fulfillment of the abomination of desolation.

All Scriptures, plain and simple.

Very confusing, and completely devoid of the sound arguments I gave you concerning the differences in the resurrections in Daniel 12 and Revelation.

You still have yet to address that long post I made a few threads back.

Keep preaching your Jesuit Futurism. I will have no part of it.

If a king does arise in the future, it will simply be another sequence of Popes, or Satan implanting himself on the throne of the Vatican, but it's still a "part" of the Papal Chair that began in Paul's day. You cannot disconnect the future Antichrist man (who will be head of the Papacy) as being a distinct powers from all the Popes preceding him.

It's as simple as that.

Makes perfect sense to me. I could listen to that futurism all day long. It’s that historicism that gives me a headache. They have three different versions of the abomination of desolation. Talk about a confused understanding of the scriptures. Truth is moving forward and they keep looking backwards to the glory days which were never that great to begin with.

Their arguments are so weak and devoid of scripture that they have to resort to name calling and fear tactics like the ‘Jesuits’. Oooh I’m so scared of labels. I have a few labels of my own but then my post would just get deleted so I better not go there. It would be so nice to have a serious discussion but I guess that’s not possible.

Excellent post Sammie, just stay away from that historical buffoonery and you’ll be fine.

Daniel’s concern was not for us Adventists, but for his Jewish race. Jews did see in Antiochus a fulfillment of the prophecy. We should not discount this as a partial fulfillment of the prediction. Matthew 24 is a good example of multiple fulfillment of biblical prophecies.

If you want to insist that another partial fulfillment applies to Adventists, I might entertain this, provided you do not deny the most logical application of Daniel 8 to the Jewish nation. Ezekiel 37 has a dramatic description of the rebirth of the Jewish nation.

I believe that the starting point for the 2300 days prophecy is given in Daniel 8 and not Daniel 9. The chapter starts with the military encounter between Alexander the Great and the forces of Medo-Persia. This is probably a reference to the Battle of Granicus in 334 BC.

If you use this as your starting point, it will take you to 1967. Did something important take place on said date for the Jews? Of course: The Six Days War which ended with a signal victory against the Arabs and provided access to the Jewish sacred ground where the Temple stood.

70 weeks = 490 days = 490 years (Daniel 9:24-27)

42 months = 1260 days = 1260 years (Daniel 7, Rev 11, 12, 13)

2300 evening-mornings = 2300 days = 2300 years (Daniel 8)

Like it or not, this is how it is.

Simple as pie.

No, No,Lys,

The 42 mos. of Rev. 13: can't and don't happen until the deadly wound is healed, we now are at that point. Now it is past time for the prophecy to be anygthing but literal time, so it will be the last 42 months of time for the Beast to continue and it is over.

The 42 mos. or Rev. 11: can't and don't happen until the house of God is measured up first, verse one. This is the same period of time as deleinated Rev. 13:

The text of His Word proves it. I stand on His Word, and not the theories of men.

French revelution was not even a good application let alone the fulfillment.

The 144,000 will be the two witnesses powered by the Holy spirit, the oil of the two olive trees, going forth in the spirit and power of Moses and Elijah, using the two candlesticks the Bible, old and new testaments.

Yah has them ready now and are soon to go forth as soon as the time is right and He alone will send them. It will not be from SDA headquarters, mark my words.

I have already provided sound documentation in previous posts as to why the 42 months comes before the Deadly Wound, as Revelation 13 is not written in chronological order.

Your entire premise is based on the spurious predilection that the Lamb-Like Beast is only Satan, and not Satan working through the United States. I have time and time again exploded this premise in the past, and I honestly do not feel like repeating over and over again.

You reject the Spirit of Prophecy, and would rather rely on human inventions rather than guiding Spirit.

The texts in question do not say what you think they mean. You interpret them your own way--without the guidance of the Spirit of Prophecy to shine upon its pages and bring deeper understanding.

The pioneers and Ellen White were unanimous that the 42 months of Revelation 13 applied to the Dark Ages.

There are 3 tribulations, and 3 abomination of desolations derived from Holy Writ.

1. Pagan Rome

2. Papal Rome"

3. Revived Papal Rome (Future)

Spiritual things are spiritually discerned.

According to the Lord Jesus Christ, there is only ONE (1) Great Tribulation = the Time of Trouble of Dan 12:1, 2, and only ONE (1) abomination of desolation = the image of the beast of Rev 13.

According to Christ our Lord:

The Great Tribulation:

1. an event that will occur only ONCE. Matt 24:21; Dan 12:1

2. days of occurrence will be shortened or no one will remain alive. Matt 24:22

3. will occur shortly before the 2nd Coming. Matt 24:21,29-31; Dan 12:1,2

The abomination of desolation:

1. an idol or image (Hebrew 'shiqquts'). Matt 24:15; Dan 11:31; 12:11; 1 Kings 11:5-7; 2 Kings 23:13

2. this idol or image will cause desolation against the end time people of God. Rev 13:15

3. will be set up in the holy place. Matt 24:15; Dan 11:31

It is really not that difficult to see that the great tribulation and abominations of desolation according to Lysimachus are not the ones referred to by our Lord. Whereas Scriptures specified the Great Tribulation as an event, and the abomination of desolation as an idol or image, Lysimachus fused his tribulation and abomination of desolations into Rome - pagan, papal and revived.

According to Lysimachus:

The Great Tribulation:

1. instead of an event occurring but once, it is a nation, Rome, whose existence comes in 3 different times.

2. instead of an event, the days of occurrence of which is cut short, it is a nation whose existence as a nation is lengthened till now.

3. instead of an event whose occurrence is shortly before the 2nd Coming of the Lord, it is a nation that existed even before the birth of the Lord.

The abomination of desolation:

1. instead of being an idol or image, it is a nation.

2. instead of causing desolation to the end time people of God, it caused desolation to the people of olden times.

3. instead of being set up in the holy place as per Scriptures, it is set up in a place Scriptures had nothing to say about its being holy.

False.

According to Revelation 13, the Lamb-Like Beast comes after the 42 months, and a deadly wound is healed.

According to Daniel 12:1,2, the resurrection commences immediately after the "time of trouble"

Two different events. Unequivocally.

Sorry, but the Scriptures don't seem to agree. Christ's words (Matt 24:15-31) are emphatic that His 2nd Coming is just around the bend when the abomination of desolation = image of the beast of Rev 13, is set up in the holy place, as per Daniel's record. Daniel recorded that the setting up can only occur after the 'daily' had been taken away. This act of taking away is attributed to the little horn (Dan 8:11-14). Therefore, the little horn of Daniel 8 is a king yet to arise in the future shortly before the 2nd Coming.

Mt 24:15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."

Pagan Rome fulfilled this when they destroyed the literal earthly sanctuary in 70 AD. No Christians were lost in the conflagration because they heeded the words of our Lord. When they saw the Roman legions surrounding the Jerusalem but then inexplicably withdrew, they fled. The Papacy took the daily away from the heavenly sanctuary when the Mass was instituted. The papal priesthood and the mass usurped Christ's priesthood and ministry in the heavenly sanctuary as described in the book of Hebrews.

The angel Gabriel showed that the 2300 days were to begin. ESV Da 9:25 "Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time."

The date 457 BC is a well-established date. If this date is taken as the beginning of the 2300 days, the 1844 terminus is inescapable. It was in 1844 that the truth about Christ's daily ministration in the heavenly was rediscovered and restored to its rightful place.

And yes, Jesus' coming is indeed near. About the ONLY major sign left to be fulfilled before He comes is Mt 24:14 ESV Mt 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

Quote:

All Scriptures, plain and simple.

If it was so "plain and simple," there would be little or no disagreement.

You are working under the assumption that the prediction is limited to a single future event. I work on the premise that this prophecy has had multiple fulfillment, like the prediction Jesus made in chapter 24 where a partial fulfillment took place with the destruction of Jerusalem and another fulfillment will take place with his Second

Coming.

Jesus did believe that his second coming would take place soon, but he also affirmed that only God the Father knew the date of his return.

Mt 24:15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."

This is flat out wrong and just more historical tomfoolery.

The abomination of desolation is a critical component in the book of Daniel and connects together:

1) little horn power/king of the north

2) the removal of the daily

3) the onset of the great tribulation/time of trouble

4) the 1290 day time period

If you say that the AOD was fulfilled in 70AD can we count backwards 1290 days or years and find the removal of the daily? No. This multiple argument is really becoming absurd. Are there multiple versions of the 2300 days or 70 weeks? Again – NO, so the AOD was not fulfilled in 70AD either partially or completely. Jesus said in Matt. 24 that this generation shall not pass until all these things be fulfilled. Everything that Jesus spoke of in Matt. 24 will happen in the ‘time of the end’ not chronologically thru history.

There are so many verses that point to Jerusalem and the temple being reconstructed in the last days. The woman Babylon who rides the beast is identified as Jerusalem in Revelation. The beast with 7 heads and 10 horns (church and state united) will rule the world but the capital city will be in Jerusalem. I’m sorry but the center of the religious world is not the United States and if I had to pick one head that had a deadly wound and was later healed – it would be Judaism not Christianity or the papacy.

He said when the abomination of desolation is set up in the holy place the great tribulation will start; and immediately after the great tribulation, unusual celestial phenomena occurs which will be capped by the 2nd Coming. I did not assume anything; I just believed our Lord.

It is because of assumption that partial fulfillment comes into the issue. There is just no place for partial fulfillment anywhere in the words of Jesus our Lord in Matt 24:15-31.
