Wow- a couple of pretty conservative blokes!

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

I knew this was coming - have inside information.

Don't agree with them.

Rejoice always,

What would this mean then if you didn't have inside information or you didn't know this was coming?

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

Did you guys watch the full video?

Ron's conclusion: He is open to the vote of the Church, and does not feel he can trust his own judgments.

David: He is open to be wrong on this issue, and is willing to keep studying the matter.

That's about where I stand, too. I like the way they worded it.

Thanks for the info, I knew there was more to the context than what was being said.

Not anymore.

Conservatives don't say I'm open or I'll wait for the vote.

Yes exactly. And I have inside information - that their con cards are in the process of being revoked.

This will happen more and more. Most likely more than 50% of the church membership is female. If you want to rise in the church world, you have to placate the women. This is democracy - the vote of the ignoramus counts just as much as the vote of the genius. And there are many times more ignorami than geniuses. The church office holder has much in common with the politician and con man. Being nice is more important than being right.

Who cares that female ministers and pastors are not Biblical? One can surely find something vague enough in Paul's writings to support any position. Many even find support for the nonsensical assertions that 1 + 1 + 1 = 1 and 1/3 = 1. Who cares that this contradicts God's own mathematical laws on which the universe runs? Using vague passages one can do magic. Female ordination, unicorns, moon dust, fairies, we can do them all, and more.

Dear epa. I think the Lord is more interested in weighing Israel than counting him.

David Asscherick is in the Michigan Conference. So it is significant that he is for WO. The Michigan Conference does not hire women pastors. Hopefully his stand will help change this.

Yes. She is in the Michigan Conference. But from what I have heard - she is not paid by the Michigan Conference. Andrews pays for her is my understanding. A technicality to be understood.

Unless we can actually know for sure, that would be as they say heresay? :) No?

Yes heresay. You are correct. But also it doesn't take a genius to see that the only female pastors are at Andrews.

But Woody that's not true, because my Mom's church did have a woman pastor for a while. She became ill and left the church to her husband who was also a pastor. But than they both decided to retire, sort of. Not sure what they are doing right now. And if I'm not mistaken there are a number of other women pastors throughout the church.
