Rex Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 there is a difference between a person having feelings and being supersensitive. there is also a difference between being "offended by the truth" whatever you think that is, and feeling hurt by the callous and unfeeling comments made by some. but i get that you may not know the difference, unless i say something about you, then ill bet youd scream the loudest! ill be watching to see if that is so. Dr. Shane Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 People should not say rude things. What are you suggesting, that it is rude to tell the truth in such a pc society? It cuts both ways. Our opinions about what is truth need to be shared tactfully. We need to be considerate of others that disagree with us. We should also avoid personalizing our opinions so that they do not feel like attacks. I see oversensitive people on this forum - no doubt. I also see rude people that think too highly of their own opinions. Both types of people need to take a look at their behavior - in my opinion. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... We've been talking about abortion not how many gay's , blacks, jews (and if you need a number for how many jews, I can tell you at least the number of my family that were killed by wackos, but we were not talking about Jews), and prostitutes. And I didn't make a statement as if I knew, I asked how many have been killed compared to the other way around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-abortion_violence and this is only from 1993. Again I'll ask how many have died because of people that say they are for LIFE???????????????? And how many people that are pro-choice have done likewise??????????? And by the way I tried googling it the other way around and came up empty. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Did you miss this one in the news?? Quote: On May 31, 2009, George Tiller, a physician from Wichita, Kansas, who was nationally known for being one of the few doctors in the United States who performed late-term abortions was murdered, allegedly by anti-abortion activist Scott Roeder. Tiller was shot to death during a Sunday morning service at his church, where he was serving as an usher. Many believed the killing to be directly related to Tiller's position on abortion. Dr. George Tiller was killed on May 31, 2009, shot to death during worship services at the Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita, where he was serving as an usher. The church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Tiller was shot in the head at point blank range; he was wearing a flak jacket, as he had been since 1998, when the FBI told him he was targeted by anti-abortion extremists....Roeder was arrested within three hours of the shooting, and charged with first-degree murder and related crimes two days later. Dr. Shane Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Here is a link to those wackos. We've been talking about abortion not how many gay's , blacks, jews (and if you need a number for how many jews, I can tell you at least the number of my family that were killed by wackos, but we were not talking about Jews), and prostitutes. pk My point is that people that kill abortionist doctors are no different than hate-mongers that target other sectors of the population. If they were not killing abortionist doctors they would be killing someone else. There are wacko environmentalists that drive spikes into trees that end up killing loggers. So should we make a blanket generalization that environmentalists kill loggers? Of course not. What I want to see is where there is a Pro-life organization that encourages its members to kill abortionist doctors. I know there are individual wackos that go off the deep end but it is unfair to make a blanket generalization about the entire Pro-life movement based on the wackos. It would be fair to say Pro-lifers protest outside of abortion clinics. That is true for most every pro-life organization. Now are you asking how many pro-choice people have killed pro-life people? I am not sure how that mindset would work. I understand the wacko pro-life lunatics that thinks by killing an abortionist doctor he is saving the lives of babies. How would a pro-choice advocate justify, in their mind, killing a pro-life advocate? I know environmentalist lunatics that justify killing loggers do so because they believe they are saving trees. I am not sure what a pro-choice person would be trying to accomplish by killing a pro-life person. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
