miz3 Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 "In fact if you offer other scenarios even if they are Biblical..." And what other scenarios would you propose miz3, biblical of course. The RCC/Pope are pikers and copy cats and johnny come latelies. We know that the change first and real change of the Saturday Sabbath to Sunday Worship came between Noah and Abraham. This gave rise to the worship of the sun. This change of day of worship was first started by a minority but continued to grow until it became such a huge majority that God called Abraham to come out those pagans and form the "group" that would maintain Saturday Sabbath Worship and as such would be the place in which God's Greatest Gift to the whole world would be given. Thus, by the time the RCC?Pope decided to drop Saturday and take Sunday Worship the RCC/Pope were merely joining what was already the "majority" pagan church already in place. Thus, in fact despite their parochial puffiness and arrogance they really did not do anything big or unique. The Sunday "mark" had already be in place for millenea as the center stone of pagan worship. Quote

Members phkrause Posted October 6, 2011 Members Posted October 6, 2011 SDA believe the RCC/Pope is actually gunning for them and has the apparatuses already to in place to torture and kill SDA. SDA have clearly painted the RCC/Pope as the "devil incarnate". I'm not sure where you get this from? the only one I know that is gunning against the SDA church is Satan, and its not only the SDA church but all believers no matter what church they belong to. And he will use any means necessary. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

So satan is going to force us to keep Sunday Worship not the RCC/Pope? Quote

Well ClubV12 here is your chance to add positively to the discussion. Who is going to force us SDA to keep Sunday Worship? Is it Satan or is it the RCC/Pope? Which one is actually gunning for us SDA? ClubV12 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 miz3 says, "Which one is actually gunning for us SDA?" "US" SDA's? As in you and I? Don't think so miz3, you are committing identity theft by associating yourself with the Adventist name. It is embarrassing when you suggest that, it lowers the standard of what it means to be an Adventist to the very dust. Quote

Moderators John317 Posted October 6, 2011 Moderators Posted October 6, 2011 ...Who is going to force us SDA to keep Sunday Worship? Is it Satan or is it the RCC/Pope? Which one is actually gunning for us SDA? No one can force anyone to sin, miz3. But Satan will use the RCC/Pope and the USA to attempt to force all the world to keep Sunday and dishonor the Sabbath. The reason for this is that Satan wants the whole world to worship him. Satan believes he will be able in this way to prove to God that the whole world belongs to him and not to God. So he will attempt to wipe out all resistence to him, and he is using the papal system to do it. He has already used many false systems to deceive billions into worshipping the Devil and into obscuring the truth about God. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

He knows "that his time is short". If satan knows that he knows from Revelation that he cannot win. The Bible is clear that satan and his angels know they are lost. They know they have no chance to win just as you and I know that satan has no chance. Come on lets get real. This is just more SDA "soap opera" stuff about everything hanging in the balance. Will God pull it out at the last moment? Or will God lose His rightful Kingdom forever? Will satan win with his devious plans? Will Daisy and Duke finally get together and live happily ever after? Will the real evil landlord go to jail or will he actually make off with grandma's farm? Tune in tomorrow for our next episode. It is not even close. It has never ever been close. God wins! Quote

You're apparently misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm not suggesting that God could lose. Of course God wins. He has actually already won. It's all over except that a lot of humans don't know it and still haven't made up their mind who they will worship. I think you give too much credit to Satan. Sin is very self-deceiving, which is why Satan believed he could win against God in the first place. He's deceived himself and all his fallen angels for thousands of years. All Satan is out to do now is cause as many people to be lost as he can. He hates God and therefore he attacks everything God loves. Moderators John317 Posted October 6, 2011 Moderators Posted October 6, 2011 What you say here is different from the previous post in which you say satan thinks he can win. Which is it? Can or cannot satan win? Of course Satan cannot win. The war is already won. Satan is a defeated foe, but Satan has deceived himself into thinking he may still be able to pull it off. He thought he could do it at the cross by killing Jesus, and now he thinks he may do it by getting the entire world to worship him. It's hard to understand why such an intelligent creature would ever have thought that he could win the great controversy against God, but Lucifer did just that. When you really think about it, sin and rebellion against God never make any sense. Guest Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 You are clearly trying to "minimize" things by saying it is only a "mild" disagreement. I didn't say anything about a mild disagreement. I said it's not showing hatred to point out where something or someone is wrong. The catholic church is wrong, and so are you. And the "Great Controversy" is between Christ and Satan. Quote

Such language and attitudes are NOT for just pointing out wrongness. Quote

Mrs. White did not use warlike and vicious language in regard to the RCC/Pope. How could she have in the light of the following statement: "God has jewels in all the churches, and it is not for us to make sweeping denunciations of the professed religious world, but in humility and love, present to all the truth as it is in Jesus. Let them see piety and devotion, let them behold Christlikeness of character, and they will be drawn to the truth."
