BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I know. And that is the point. You have come here to teach, when you should come here to learn. I came here to learn, but was not surprised to find myself teaching. I know what the New Covenant is, it was your post that made no sense.

If you did, you would not be denying the Sabbath.
Twilight II Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 So wait - only those with the Spirit like the idea of a day off work ? Wow - everyone is saved ? See, you do not understand the Sabbath and how it relates to the New Covenant. And how it relates to your character. You belittle the day that God told us to keep Holy. You belittle the fact told us to remember a specific day. You belittle the New Covenant by doing the above. This is why you should not be here trying to teach us about the work of the Holy Spirit. When you do not understand what the New Covenant is for and what it does.
BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 "If you did, you would not be denying the Sabbath." I am not sure how you think this is going to convince me of anything. But, I don't think that is the point. I've suggested several times that we stop this, but you keep going. Why ? You can't answer me from the Bible, you can't answer the things I ask from my own experience, you have no answer but to waffle on about how I 'deny the Sabbath' and so on. I do think it's instructive for people to come here and see what passes for fruit of the Spirit and teaching in the SDA, but, I don't think it's edifying for anyone involved. I offer again, we can go to email so you can call me names without bringing your fellow SDAs in to disrepute. Or, we can just drop it. I have no interest in the idea that God forcing me to take a day off work is the evidence of His power, and you have no interest in the idea that God answers with evidence. Shall we just leave it at that, and let God reveal the truth in His time ? Of course, if you were to post with actual scripture, and refer the actual scripture I've pointed out that contradicts you, that would be another thing.
BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Gosh, will the self justification never end ? Why are you so insecure ?
Twilight II Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I have no interest in the idea that God forcing me to take a day off work is the evidence of His power, and you have no interest in the idea that God answers with evidence. So you think God "forced" Adam and Eve to take a Day off of work? You think God "forced" the Israelitest to take a day off of work? You think He forced Jesus to take a day off of work? You think He forced Paul to take a day off of work? Is that what you think the Sabbath really is? God forcing Himself on His believers?
BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 You're suggesting that I have no choice, and that somehow I want to avoid taking a day off, yes. Jesus was clear, the Sabbath was given for man, not vice versa. You do not believe this. Paul regarded every day to be the same, regardless of what he did.
Twilight II Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Like I said BibleOnly. You do not understand the Sabbath, your disrespect for it is evident. You do not understand the New Covenant and the role the Sabbath plays in that. And you do not understand the work of the Holy Spirit on the heart and how the Sabbath and all it relates to is written there. And you show no interest in understanding those things. Until you understand those things, I would suggest leaving issues like "vain babblings" alone. Especially when it comes to teaching others about them.
BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 OK - so you decided not to go private, not to answer me from the Bible, and not to consider the ways in which your self righteousness reflects on the SDA approach to the Gospel ? I warn you again, be careful of being so focused on the beliefs of your church, that you believe anything they tell you about other churches, in the face of evidence to the contrary.
Q.E.D. Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I just noticed that you're relatively new here. Perhaps you're new to the internet. Natural people often find that, without the Spirit to guide them, they get lost in the ability to try to look big by hurling insults on the web. This is especially true of physically weak people who got beat up as kids, and finally find a playing field that works in their favour. Satanic Verses-Salman Rushdie.
Twilight II Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 You're suggesting that I have no choice, and that somehow I want to avoid taking a day off, yes. Jesus was clear, the Sabbath was given for man, not vice versa. You do not believe this. Paul regarded every day to be the same, regardless of what he did. Yes the Sabbath was made for man. So why do you insist you do not need it. Especially now, when it is supposed to be written on your heart and is supposed to be something you love and celebrate... When the Sabbath is written on your heart, you will make plain to the world the following: 1. God is your creator. 2. God is your redeemer. 3. You recognise Jesus created you. 4. You recognise Jesus gave you the Sabbath. 5. You rest in all your spheres from activity that precludes God in any way on the specific day God commanded. 6. You tell the world you remember what God has said and you reject evolution and all other false theories of origins. 7. You tell the world you are not like them, you obey God and what God commands. 8. And your heart is printed with these words: MADE IN EDEN All the above are attributes of the Character of one who is Born Again. This is what happens when God writes His Law on your heart. That is what happens when you are Born Again. And you definitely do not mock Gods Holy Day of rest and celebration. So until you have this part of Gods Law written on your heart, how can you expect us to take you seriously?
BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 "In the meantime Q.E.D. is on hot on your trail, BibleOnly, and it stinks. . ." The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace.... A new commandment I give you, that you love one another as I have loved you.....
BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Yes the Sabbath was made for man. So why do you insist you do not need it.

A new commandment I give you, that you love one another as I have loved you..... Yes, you were also told to love God with all your heart. As your Creator. To remember that fact weekly. On the specific day of the Sabbath. To have that Fourth Commandment written on your heart by the Holy Spirit. Or does that commandment not matter? It appears not. You have replaced it with: "I can worship God how I choose on any day, I do not have to be specific, the Sabbath for me is how I define it."

BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 You keep playing those word games and pretending to not understand what I have said. Don't bother to answer my questions, for example, if instead of not killing my brother or stealing from him, I have to love him as myself, why it is that the Sabbath doesn't have a similar change to something fuller and more wonderful ? Also, keep ignoring all the times I asked why Jesus said He came to give us rest, if He meant the same day off they had already ? Those questions come from the Bible, and are uncomfortable. Stick to rhetoric and word games that make you feel bigger than me. I don't care. I mean, really, why would I care what a bunch of people on the web think of me ? If you're not interested in the Bible, or even showing people respect, then I am mostly amused and a little saddened by it, but I'm happy to keep throwing your views in to sharp relief for the sake of any onlookers.

Q.E.D. Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Again, do not mistake the agreement of like minded people with evidence that God agrees with you. Perhaps He does. But only the Bible can prove it. And what part of "8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."(Exo 20:8-11) do you not understand? And the beat goes on. . . Q.E.D. Satanic Verses-Salman Rushdie.
BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 So, you don't love your neighbour as yourself, you're content to just not kill him, steal from him, or covet his wife ?
Q.E.D. Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 So, you don't love your neighbour as yourself, you're content to just not kill him, steal from him, or covet his wife ? BibleOnly Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Yeah, I didn't expect an answer, I've asked it often enough.

So until you have this part of Gods Law written on your heart, how can you expect us to take you seriously? The thing that was made in Eden, was rebellion against God. Odd that you use this motto so much, I know what you hope to claim by it, but, still... So when someone is born again, they believe these 7 things. So, in Acts 2, 8, 10, and 19, that's how they knew they had the Spirit, they did not believe in evolution ? In Acts 8, was there a questionaire to fill in and they failed it, that's how they knew they did not have the Spirit ? Sorry to drag the Bible in to all of this, I know you don't like that. Amusingly, of those 7, the things that are actually true, are things that I knew when I first spoke in tongues, although I had believed them before, they were revealed to me in a way that went beyond belief when the devil apparently answered my prayer to God. You do not have the Sabbath commandment written on your heart BO. That is clear. The Sabbath Commandment is rest from all you labour so that you can worship God on a specific day. That is what the Fourth Commandment states. That is not on your heart as you argue that "any old" day will do. Gods says "Remember" THE Sabbath Day. And you say that you can forget THE Sabbath Day. With that in mind, you do not have the Sabbath Commandment written on your heart, as per the Bible. You have a deception that says you do not have to REMEMBER...
