You can only know truth through Jesus Christ. He will reveal to you ALL TRUTH through the Spirit. I would recemend you to pray again until you hear the TRUE voice. Dont listen to the wrong voice. You will know when the spirit has truly answered you, just listen.

I know, that the book of mormon is 100percent true. I know this because I had a POWERFUL answer from god. God confirmed to me that the book of mormon is true and that Joseph smith IS a true prophet. I know that this IS THE TRUE church of God.

I dont listen to what the world says. Jesus warned of this...people trying to tell you "its wrong". So i expect that..... But, I will continue to follow Gods word upon faith and ignore people accusing the church of this and that...All that matters to me is that I know I have the truth.

But, I guess there is going to be a lot of disagreements now that I am Mormon ( on this website ), So I feel its time to remove my account. I am not here to argue religion with others, but to help.

This is one issue that will crop up with most of the worlds religions. Many upon many are impressed that what they believe is the only truth. Or that they are following the one and only God.

My entry in to adventist was countered by those who seemed to have no spiritual zip, yet had all the answers and had no respect for anyone else's spiritual experiences.

No wonder so many Churches are empty.

Sometimes pointing out what is right, without pointing out what is wrong works a lot better. That was a comment EGW said, but it was not sensational enough attention...

I have a feeling you didnt ask with all your heart and "ponder" (as Moroni instructed) it into ur heart when you prayed. Becuase if you would have done so you would have been answered. The negative feelingsyou have about the book of mormon is not an answer from God. The only thing I can tell you is to speak with missionaries and read the book of mormon more before you ask again. and if you dont receive an answer this time, continue doing it..becuase god does Answer prayers.

The only way that is possible, and to which you and I would both agree, is by something that is written. The Spirit is NOT the way to determine which Jesus is correct. Only the written word is the best determinate...and the only one that both of us agree to use is the bible and the bible alone.

My Jesus practiced Sabbath keeping....YOur's didn't. My Jesus says to keep God's Law...Your's doesn't, as it keeps Sunday. [Although your early leaders, on more than one occassion, said there was more evidence for a Saturday Sabbath, than a Sunday one. ']

And that's the tip of the iceberg, Robby. There's a whole mountain of evidence underneath that shows the bible and the book of mormon at odds.

So, again Robby, how do you determine truth? If you keep professing that your religion is true, then how do you know? Where is the evidence of your faith? ...on a FEELING?????

But the bible also says "To the Law and to the Testemony. If they speak not according to this word, there is no light in them." If your evidence is not written, how do can we agree to know the truth??? The answer is- you can't. That is logic.

And I don't listen to the world either, Robbie...The evidence that the bible give is all the evidence that I need. I don't understand how you can say that you "follow Gods word" when you don't even look to it for evidence of your faith? You don't follow God, but rather a feeling.

I am not here to argue either, but I just don't see why I should follow a feeling rather than written evidence of God's leading? Yes, we keep the sabbath as well. On the correct day (sunday).

And you cannot receive answered through what is written. Your telling me that anything you read about god is true!? WOW!!

The only way you can really know what is real, is through the holy spirit which reveals all.

The ways you can receive answeres is by feelings, visions or dreams...but I feel the best is the feelings. When I feel the Holy ghost, I am at so much comfort, I have never felt more peace in my LIFE ,ever, besides the time i received my answer. I feel the presence so strongly, that i know ive been answered.

Now, the reason why I can say the book of mormon and the bible are true is because i received an answer from God, SO I DO beleive in what is written. But, you cannot beleive what is written unless you receive an answer from the Holy Ghost.

If the book of mormon differs from the bible a little, and thats how "YOU KNOW" the book of mormon is not true, then please tell me how the bible is 100percent correct, or, how does it differ??

If there are differences, then the bible is obviously a bit off on translation.

Feelings are easy to counterfeit. They originate from the heart. The Bible says that "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked.' How would you, or anyone, know that a certain 'feeling' is 'the holy ghost'? Do you think it is possible for satan to suggest or give you a particular feeling? Are our feelings the ultimate guide to truth? If so, why?

Many of my family members are Mormons.

One day my aunt told me of an instance where one of my cousins claimed that Jesus told her that her the gender of the baby her mother was carrying.

She was wrong. She asked my aunt if Jesus told her wrong. My aunt said, No- you just heard wrong.

Hummmm. Revelations from God are those revelations the president of LDS gets. I remember that once the Mormon church believed all Blacks were lost. Then the president had a revelation that Blacks could be saved. I find that odd. Why would God give one vision that an entire race is lost due to the color of their skin and then Change His Mind. Sorry I do not buy that premise.

The bible tells us that if any testimony differs from scipture it is because there is NO LIGHT IN THEM.

Feelings are not to be trusted. They can be counterfeited as you said. Many of the pentalcostals believe that the high they get from speaking in tougues are from God because it Feels so good. I have helped babysit at a church who were speaking in tougues. It was the first and last time. It was scary hearing all that babbling and the rolling in the ailes after being struck by the the Holy Spirit or so they thought.

Once I heard of two young Adventist Men who attended a speaking in tougues church and when the leader called for the Holy Spirit to come these men prayed Hard to God. They realized they had made a terrible mistake and wanted God to come be close to them. The leader said that there were two men in the church who were NOT Believers and the Holy Spirit would not come as long as these men were amoung them. He pointed to the back Row. They were in a tent and the back row was in a row of pews high above the floor.

The leader pointed in their direction and Said. "The unbeleivers are there." He walked back up the pew toward them. The young men slid down to the floor and slipped out under the tent flap and left.

They could hear the meeting resuming as they left. They prayed to thank God for his protection.

There are two forces at work on this planet. One is of God and the other is of Gods Adversary. Gods speaking in Toungues are the real languages of people so that Gods message can reach them. An example of this is the conversion of the 3000 by Peter who spoke in the language the foreighn jews could understand. Greek I think and other languages.The fake speaking in Tougues is babbling and utter nonsence but they think it is the language of the angels.

What Good is that. Speaking in a language no man can understand and Gods message cannot be understood.

I remember on the old Compuserve forum there was a forum called Religion. ON that forum there was a Sabbath Keepers forum. I remember there was this one guy who thought that Sabbath begun at Sunup to Sunup rather than sundown to sundown. We went round and round with but as you said. No clear winners.

Certainly it can. Satan can hear your prayer for a sign, and give you the WRONG sign. That is if a person has chosen to bypass Scripture, which speaks directly to the question, and rely on a 'sign' instead.
