After God said he would not destroy Nineveh BECAUSE they had REPENTED, Jonah said, “I know that You are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and relents from doing harm.” Jonah 3:10-4:3.

That same kindness was available to the people before the flood, for God said: “I am the Lord, I do NOT change.” Malachi 3:6.

That same kindness is available to people before probation closes. But those who remain alive just BEFORE the close of probation [and are not faithful to God], will demonstrate to the universe that they are not willing to repent.

Revelation 9:20-21

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet REPENTED NOT of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Neither REPENTED they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

As shown in Revelation 16:9,11 people will have the same belligerent attitude after the close of probation.

As Noah warned the people of the coming flood, so God desires His people today to give the warning message of Christ's soon coming.

Those who serve God will meet with trials and temptations. They will have burdens to bear, and difficulties to encounter. Noah was ridiculed and scorned. His work was made a laughing-stock. But none of these things moved him from his purpose, and God's people must not allow the trials they meet to lead them away from Him. {ST, April 17, 1901}

Do you really believe that when people asked Noah: "What is this big thing you are building all these years? That he said "I can't tell you, it's a secret?" Come on!

You obviously have checked your brain at the door. The very thing you tell others not to do.

The verse does NOT say they knew nothing "ABOUT THE FLOOD." You added those words.

The context is clearly about TIME.

They did not know THE DAY when the flood would come.

"Watch therefore: for you do not know what hour your Lord will come." Matthew 24:42.

Richard, I was not aware that your were alive in the days of Noah, otherwise how would your know what was going on. Noah may have been building the boat out in the middle of nowhere. All I am doing is going with what evidence God, according to His good pleasure, revealed to us through Moses. God is usually good about telling us if He warned of coming distruction. God says He told Noah to build an ark for "yourself". God did not tell Noah to build an ark for 100,000 people and preach. If there were 100,000 people who would listen to salvation being preached, then God would not have had to distroy the whole world with a flood! What we are told is that there was no one righteous, except Noah.

The reason the Ark was the size it was, was because God knows the future, and He knew they wouldn't get on the boat. But He still wouldn't do it without giving them a chance. That would have been unfair. Do you think God is unfair?

Take Christ as your example. He had many hearers, but few followers. Noah preached for one hundred and twenty years to the people before the flood; yet out of the multitudes on the earth at that time only eight were saved." {CET 216.5}

That settles it for me. You see I put way waaaay more stock in the words of Ellen White, than I do the words of you three.

If for no other reason than the fact that She doesn't do violence to the word of God. You do. When I read her words, I know they came from God. When I read yours, I see something else.

Sounds like a lot of pain with no gain - how bout we go back to the OP.

Read about half way through that link - but would like to get the summary "take away" points to help get the discussion going.

Richard, you are blind, and deaf. You have neither eyes to see or ears to hear. You accuse me and my friends of all sorts of heinous crimes against the words of God, but you are the one that is adding meanings that were never intended by God. ALL I have ever done is point out what God said. I am not supplying supposition based on personal preference, putting God in a box of my own construction. YOU and jsm are the ones that are adding words and meanings that just aren't in the texts. You place the words of EGW above the words of Jesus Christ, and this is incredibly dangerous. You have made her your authority beyond anything even she would want. Rather than think for yourselves you go to her to find out what is permissible as an SDA to believe. I think you would be better served by asking God for guidance directly through the Holy Spirit rather than using EGW as the filter of the information you seek.

I DO NOT want you to put any stock in my words, and I have said this time and again. For me personally the only filter I will ever use is the words and teachings of Jesus Christ as given by His own eyewitness disciples. I understand this makes you angry because you both are fully invested in the SDA mind set based on the writings of EGW and place her as equal or even above Jesus Christ. You will say you do not but that doesn't come across in our conversations and in the way you treat me and my friends.

I didn't think you wanted to waste the time with us Richard. What gives? It should be clear to everyone that you are prejudice and this prejudice drips all over your posts. If you want to use EGW to find fault with what the bible clearly says, then that is ok with me, because your last post clearly did that. Any fool can read the bible and read what she wrote and see that there was clearly a difference and all we did is simply point that out. However, you and jsm seem to want to argue until the cows come home and at this rate, they never will.

The point to remember with all of this is that the bible in Genesis said one thing and that egw said another. Either one goes with the bible or plays the assuming game along with egw. Nuff said!

John 3:17: "The people of Nineveh were also condemned to die..."

Dr. Rich: Actually John, you are wrong. Big difference here. At the flood, there was no 'ifs' or 'buts' or any conditions at all. God told Noah to build ONE size ark--and there were no conditions to build it bigger IF anyone supposedly believed Noah when he supposedly preached (which he didn't). Jonah was set to Nineveh to warn them that IF they did not repent and become righteous, that God would destroy them. Therefore, they were NOT condemned to die. Big difference here John!

Rich, go back and read your Bible. It says nothing about "IF" in the book of Jonah. If you find "IF," please tell me what verse.

As I see jsm has already rightly pointed out, Jonah 3: 4 tells us that the prophet preached, "YET FORTY DAYS, AND NINEVAH WILL BE OVERTHROWN." Sounds like a death sentence, doesn't it? Where's the condition?

Where does Jonah say, "If you do not repent and become righteous, God will destroy you"? My Bible doesn't have anything even remotely like it.

Your thoughts?

Musicman1228: “But of that day and hour NO ONE KNOWS, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. Matt.24:36.

The actual translation of the word KNOWS in Greek is MAKES KNOWN. James White makes this clear in his little book titled "Matthew 24". Also, if you look up the Greek usage you will see the same thing. This puts an entirely different meaning to the text:

“But concerning that day and hour no one MAKES KNOWN, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. Matt. 24:36.

MM, I know what you're referring to, and I do admire and love James White, but he didn't know Greek. He was wrong about the Greek word [oida] (Strong's #1492) in Matt. 24: 36. Elder White was going by what he had been told by someone who evidently didn't know Greek very well, either. The only correct way it can be translated is "no one knows" or "no one is aware."

Please show a reference to either a competant translation or a Greek-English Lexicon.

Why would the Greek word mean this in that particular sentence? How do you parse it and explain it grammatically as to why it would mean "make known"?

Interestingly--so far as I know-- Ellen White never said about this verse what James White said.

I've seen diagrams of the ark which shows that there was room for many more people on the arks. In fact, there was room for hundreds if not thousands of people. The animals and the people took up only a small fraction of the total space available.

Also, as far as I can see, there's nothing in the text which shows that God didn't give other people besides Noah the opportunity to get in the ark.

The evidence is that God instructed Noah to built the ark and take it family into the ark, but it doesn't say that God wouldn't allow anyone else on had they repented and wanted to be saved in it.

It's true, of course, that no one else decided to believe what Noah preached, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have. God gave the opportunity, just as He is giving millions the opportunity to be saved today, although relatively few accept His gracious offer. That has always been the case, and it will continue to be the case until the end.

wayfinder: The Greek word is ginosko which means to know or to have knowledge of. In this case they knew nothing about the flood until it came and swept them all away. If Noah had been preaching the flood, they would definately have had knowledge of it, heeded or not. God reveals that life was going on as usual and the flood came without warning and swept them all away.

The text does not say that Noah didn't warn them or tell them. It says the people didn't "know" it was coming. It means they didn't acknowledge or perceive that it was coming. The Greek word is ginosko (Strongs #1097). It is defined as "to perceive, discern, to understand, to acknowledge." See the standard Greek-English lexicons.

The Greek word doesn't mean "intellectual knowledge," as in know that 1 + 1=2. It's the word used for intimate knowledge of someone as in a relationship. So in the case of Matt. 24: 39, it means the people who heard Noah preach didn't believe him. The only way you'd know that the flood was coming is if you not only heard about it but believed it. But they didn't believe it; therefore they didn't know to prepare for it. People can hear the gospel all day long but unless they believe it, they don't eally know it and won't be ready for Christ to return.

If I tell you that there's a cyclone coming, but you stand there and laugh at me and refuse to believe what I say, the fact that I told you doesn't help you get ready, does it? When the cyclone hits, and you are killed, it would be perfectly accurate to say you didn't know that you were going to be killed by a cyclone.

In fact, that is exactly what the original Greek indicates. The word translated "Know" is not the word for "hearing" [Gk AKOE] (Strongs #189).

So Matt. 24: 39 is really saying, "They didn't realize/understand/observe the Flood was coming until it came and took them all away." Why? Because they didn't believe what they were told. What they heard was not mixed with faith. Faith would have given them perception that what they were hearing was true. But these people used only human logic. And since it had never rained before, logic told them Noah was just a silly old man.

That is exactly how the Amplified Version ["did not know or understand"] and others translate Matt. 24: 39. Rotherham's Ephasized Bible, a literal and very reliable translation, gives it, "And they observed not until the flood came..."

Your thoughts, wayfinder? :-)

wayfinder: The fact that God sent Jonah to Ninevah to warn of the distruction speaks to the fact that God knew that they would turn from their evil ways.

The text says nothing about "warning" Ninevah. Jonah simply goes there and tells that their city will be destroyed.

Yes, God knew they would repent, since God knows the end from the beginning. I believe he knows the future. He knows whether you and I will be saved. He's known it ever since He created the world and even before that.

Quote:
wayfinder: If God had not sent Jonah the people would not have had an opportunity to change.

True, but God still did not tell Jonah to preach "IF you don't repent, God will destroy the city." That wasn't Jonah's message. His message was, "Because of your sins, the city is doomed."

Quote:
wayfinder: God did not tell Noah to warn the world about the coming flood. God told Noah to build a boat so that he and his family would not be distroyed with the wicked.

You're right that the Genesis narrative doesn't say anything about it, but we both know that many things happened that aren't mentioned in the book of Genesis. Fbecor instance, it says nothing about God's telling Adam and Eve about the Sabbath, although the language about God's blessing and santifying the seventh day does mean that it was made to be kept as an appointment. God didn't make the Sabbath for Himself alone. He made it to benefit man, as Jesus said. And who in the world would know better than Jesus, since He's the One who made it.

There is certainly nothing in the book of Genesis, though, which contradicts the idea that Noah preached and warned the people about a coming Flood. See my remarks below.

Quote:
wayfinder (quoting): Genesis 6:13 Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

14 "Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood ; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch.

God said to Noah, "make for yourself"

Notice it doesn't say "make for yourself only."

Of course it would say "make for yourself." After all, it was for Noah. But it wasn't ONLY for Noah, was it? It doesn't even say, "make for yourselves" or "make for yourself and for your family." Therefore we cannot possibly say that this instruction indicates God would not have allowed anyone on the boat except Noah.

If I tell you how to make a boat and I say, "Make yourself a boat like the one I am describing," I am not thereby showing that I will only let you get into the boat, am I? Nor would I be saying the boat is only for yourself. The original language certainly does not indicate that God was telling Noah the boat was only for Noah. Similarly, God established His covenant with Noah, but it wasn't only to benefit Noah. All humanity who descended from Noah would eventually benefit from the covenant.

Another point I would like to make here is that while Noah was building the ark, we can be sure there were plenty of people asking what Noah was doing and why. Are we to believe that Noah played dumb and said nothing? Did Noah love those people? I'm sure he did, if he was anything like God. And since Noah loved them, wouldn't he have told them to save themselves and get into the ship? Some of the mother must have had babies. Did Noah want to save the babies? Yes, of course. Therefore, I have no doubt Noah would have told the mothers to save themselves and their children, and he must have told them how and why. But they didn't believe him. They'd never seen rain before, let alone a flood. It makes perfectly good sense that Noah would have preached, just as the Apostle Peter said he did.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

My thoughts? God did NOT command Noah to warn anyone. God DID command Jonah to warn someone. Game over! You lose.

Mm wrote the following, with which I both appreciate and agree:

“The telling factor is this: when events begin unfolding we will know for sure who has the correct method, hence the correct interpretation.”

A big concern of mine is that Satan has provided many evangelicals with a DECEPTIVE progression of events that may be close to the actual, as outlined in Revelation 4-11. Their most prominent errors may be the so called Rapture in 4:1 and saying the white horse rider of 6:2 is the antichrist.

But we need to remember this: “The track of truth lies close beside the track of error, and both tracks may seem to be one to minds which are not worked by the Holy Spirit, and which, therefore, are not quick to discern the difference between truth and error.” EGW in RH 10/22/1903.

At BR’s request, here are the basics of what I wrote in 16 pages at

http://endtimesurprise.blogspot.com/

I make no claim at having everything right, but invite helpful and corrective comments on what for me has been a long-term topic for prayerful study.

Jesus tells John in 4:1 to come up to heaven in vision, so he can see what will take place at the end of the Laodicean period, as described in the prior verses. This is a historic progression.

John then sees the Daniel 7:9-10 scene as the Investigative Judgment is coming to a close.

Jesus takes the record book in chapter 5 and [as in John 5:22,27] HE ALONE begins a final review before blotting out sins. This will be what Ellen White called “the GRAND REVIEW of the judgment” for both the living and the dead. BT 12/1/1907; 1T 131.

Every person should “be prepared to pass the grand review, where all your deeds and words, and the inmost thoughts of your heart, will be laid open before the great Judge and the assembled saints and angels.” 4T 116.

“Nothing but purity, sacred purity, will stand the grand review, abide the day of God, and be received into a pure and holy heaven.” 2T 457.

“All will have an opportunity to educate themselves while in this world, that they may be fitted to stand the grand review which must shortly take place.” “Soon there is to be a grand review.” EGW in ST 2/14/1878; YI 11/21/1911.

Remember that “only the work accomplished by much prayer, which is sanctified by the merit of Christ, will stand the test of the judgment. When the grand review shall take place, then shall ye return and discern between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. [Malachi 3:18].” EGW in RH 4/7/1893.

Notice that Malachi 3:18 also applies to “the time of harvest” and “the day of test and trial.”

“The tares are permitted to grow among the wheat, to have all the advantage of sun and shower; but in the time of harvest ye shall "return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not." Mal. 3:18. Christ Himself will decide who are worthy to dwell with the family of heaven. He will judge every man according to his words and his works.” COL 75.

“We are to be saved as individuals; and in the day of test and trial we shall be able to discern between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.” EGW in RH 11/4/1890.

“Not many years hence there is to be a grand and just review of all characters. The harvest is not far ahead.” EGW in YI 11/26/1896.

“Are we prepared for the grand review? It is coming on. Satan is gathering all of his beautiful knowledge that he had when he was an angel of light and he is coming in to deceive the very elect with that very knowledge, and we want to be in a position where we can work intelligently,-- where we can work in faith and bring souls to a knowledge of the truth of the grand review that will take place when he tells them that he is going to have the whole world as his subjects and they will gather under his banner, but we must stand higher.” EGW in LLM 541.

The chapters 6 series of events may signal the start of judgment time for the living.

"Revelation 6 & 7 are full of meaning. Terrible are the judgments of God revealed." EGW in Maranatha 284.

"The Captain of our salvation was ordering the battle and sending support to His soldiers. His power was mightily displayed, encouraging them to press the battle to the gates. He taught them terrible things in righteousness as He led them on step by step, conquering and to conquer." [First seal] 8T 41.

The war, famine, and pestilence of seals 2 through 4 may bring on Sunday laws, which EGW said will be followed by the fifth seal events:

"By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness….

"The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob's trouble. The cries of the faithful, persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the blood of Abel cried from the ground, there are voices also crying to God from martyrs' graves, from the sepulchers of the sea, from mountain caverns, from convent vaults: 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?' [5th seal - Revelation 6:10]" 5T 451.

Chapter 7 shows 144,000 living Christians being sealed as a sign they have been Judged by Christ and found faithful. They are called “first fruits” indicating an additional “great multitude” will be saved. Revelation 14:1-5; 7:9-14. .

This great multitude of dead who passed through great tribulation are given white robes of approval. This “tribulation” may represent, in a primary way, the events of chapters 8 through 11 when there will be major persecution and deceptions. They have not developed characters [like the 144,000] able to stand firm through the last plagues, but large numbers will then demonstrate their loyalty through martyrdom.

There is silence in heaven as the seventh seal is opened, as an indication something special is about to take place.

Seven angels are given trumpets to sound the last warnings before probation closes, while Satan does his best to deceive and destroy.

But before they begin to sound, an “angel” [Jesus the Archangel? Jude 9] is shown at the altar of incense in heaven, offering incense with the prayers of the saints.

The angel then fills a censer with coals of fire from the altar and throws them to the earth. This is symbolic of the Acts 3:19 sins being blotted out before the “refreshing” latter rain that will prepare God’s people to give the final warnings as the trumpets are blown.

Compare this cleansing and response with Isaiah 6:6-8.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live COAL [a burning coal] which he had taken with the tongs from the ALTAR. And he touched my mouth with it, and said:

      “Behold, this has touched your lips;

      YOUR INIQUITY IS TAKEN AWAY,

      And your SIN PURGED.”

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

      “Whom shall I send,

And who will go for Us?”

Then I said, “HERE AM I! SEND ME.”

The “noises, thundering, lightnings, and an earthquake” are symbols of God’s presence [as at Sinai. Exodus 19:16,18]. In the time of the 7th seal His presence will be made evident in the earth through the Holy Spirit being given in the latter rain. As in nature, this latter rain comes in great abundance compared with the early rain of “fire” and noise “like a mighty wind” in Acts 2:2-4.

Many Christians [green things, as in 9:4] will die during the time the first trumpet is sounding.

The 2nd trumpet may signal the collapse of Protestant America [the end-time Babylon]. Compare with 18:21.

“The people of the United States have been a favored people; but when they restrict religious liberty, surrender Protestantism, and give countenance to popery, the measure of their guilt will be full, and ‘national apostasy’ will be registered in the books of heaven. The result of this apostasy will be national ruin.” EGW in RH 5/2/1893.

Satan is symbolized as the “star” in 3rd trumpet times. His deceptions will be magnified.

The 4th trumpet sun, moon, and stars symbolize God’s people – many of whom will then go out in darkness by accepting the deceptions of Satan.

“The careless and indifferent, who did not join with those who prized victory and salvation enough to perseveringly plead and agonize for it, did not obtain it, and they were left behind in darkness, and their places were immediately filled by others taking hold of the truth and coming into the ranks. Evil angels still pressed around them, but could have no power over them.” EW 271.

Satan is again symbolized as the fallen star in 5th trumpet times. He and his followers will have great power to harm; but THEY CANNOT HARM THOSE WHO HAVE THE SEAL OF GOD. 9:4.

World-wide war, plagues, and confusion is symbolized in 6th trumpet times. But those who live and do not turn to God, WILL NOT REPENT.

Probation closes as the 7th trumpet sounds [10:7], and this is followed by the 7 last plagues of chapter 16.

The above uses much from EGW.

http://endtimesurprise.blogspot.com/ uses more support from the Bible.

Your prayerful study and helpful comments will be appreciated.

jsm - In prophecy do symbols ever represent other symbols, or do symbols always represent something literal?

Posted

Interpretation of symbols is explained in the following about William Miller, from GC 319-320:

Miller publicly professed his faith in the religion which he had despised. But his infidel associates were not slow to bring forward all those arguments which he himself had often urged against the divine authority of the Scriptures. He was not then prepared to answer them; but he reasoned that if the Bible is a revelation from God, it must be consistent with itself; and that as it was given for man's instruction, it must be adapted to his understanding. He determined to study the Scriptures for himself, and ascertain if every apparent contradiction could not be harmonized.

Endeavoring to lay aside all preconceived opinions, and dispensing with commentaries, he compared scripture with scripture by the aid of the marginal references and the concordance. He pursued his study in a regular and methodical manner; beginning with Genesis, and reading verse by verse, he proceeded no faster than the meaning of the several passages so unfolded as to leave him free from all embarrassment. When he found anything obscure, it was his custom to compare it with every other text which seemed to have any reference to the matter under consideration. Every word was permitted to have its proper bearing upon the subject of the text, and if his view of it harmonized with every collateral passage, it ceased to be a difficulty. Thus whenever he met with a passage hard to be understood he found an explanation in some other portion of the Scriptures. As he studied with earnest prayer for divine enlightenment, that which had before appeared dark to his understanding was made clear. He experienced the truth of the psalmist's words: "The entrance of Thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple." Psalm 119:130.

With intense interest he studied the books of Daniel and the Revelation, employing the same principles of interpretation as in the other scriptures, and found, to his great joy, that the prophetic symbols could be understood. He saw that the prophecies, so far as they had been fulfilled, had been fulfilled literally; that all the various figures, metaphors, parables, similitudes, etc., were either explained in their immediate connection, or the terms in which they were expressed were defined in other scriptures, and when thus explained, were to be literally understood. "I was thus satisfied," he says, "that the Bible is a system of revealed truths, so clearly and simply given that the wayfaring man, though a fool, need not err therein."--Bliss, page 70. Link after link of the chain of truth rewarded his efforts, as step by step he traced down the great lines of prophecy. Angels of heaven were guiding his mind and opening the Scriptures to his understanding.

I am a big fan of Wm. Miller because he started studying the Bible with no lofty expectations of being granted special knowledge and understanding, yet through his study a whole new dimension of prophetic understanding emerged and eventually found it's way into a brand new denomination, the SDA church.

That being said it is my understanding that the prophecies of Dan. 10, 11 and 12 were not unsealed to Wm. Miller or anyone of that day because the angel told Daniel that these prophecies would not be unsealed until the appointed time of the end, and Wm. Miller and company were not living during the appointed time of the end. My current understanding is that these key prophecies were unsealed in 1994 which was the beginning of the time called 'the appointed time of the end'. This 'Restoration Calendar' began in 1437 BCE with the Exodus from Egypt and ended 3430 years later (70 cycles of 49 years). The Delay of Rev.7 began at that time, and we are still in the Delay in which God is preparing the Faithful and Wise Bondservant and his fellow Bondservant that are described in Matt.24: 45-51.

It is obvious to any clear eyed observer that there is still a lot of confusion within the Christian church as to exactly how one would go about finding the correct interpretation of end time prophecy. There are varying methods, including Wm. Miller's method described in a previous post by jsm, that even within themselves have not yielded consistent results. It is not possible to rely on these disparate methods in order to come up with a unified understanding.

My study leads me to believe that the proper and unifying method will be found during the 'Delay' that WILL give anyone that uses this particular method a consistent and unified understanding of end time events. This method could not have been put into practice 160 plus years ago because it was not time for the prophecies to be unsealed. I believe that the unsealing process began in 1994 with the observation and discovery of a brand new and Scriptural method, a set of rules for prophetic interpretation (as it were), that would allow the prophecies to be fully understood by those who would actually go through the events that are described within those very prophecies.

Everyone who is willing should be able to interpret the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation by themselves, using this here-to-fore undiscovered method to bring about a unity of understanding that sets these people apart from the normal Christian interpretations. These people are described in Rev.1:1-3 as Bondservants of Jesus Christ. This group of people WILL without a doubt understand the correct interpretation of these prophecies. Their understanding will be materially different than what has come before because they will be the ones that are working with prophecies that are for the first time in almost 2500 years unsealed.

I find it very exciting to realize that the understanding of these end time prophecies can be understood by anyone that uses this new method.

mm, your new scriptural method for prophetic interpretations may have great value; but I urge you to use a separate thread for further discussion about it. Then, if you wish, just direct people from here to that thread with a simple 10 or 12 word notice.

I and others may find it interesting and useful; but I assure you, I will not mess up that thread with diversions, as you and Rich have done here.

Christian courtesy is always appropriate and appreciated.

Thanks,

Stan

At BR’s request, here are the basics of what I wrote in 16 pages at

http://endtimesurprise.blogspot.com/

I make no claim at having everything right, but invite helpful and corrective comments on what for me has been a long-term topic for prayerful study.

Sorry, I thought method was integral to understanding prophecy, my mistake. I didn't mean to divert attention away from the topic.

The censer being cast down to earth happens just before the 1st Trumpet sounds. It marks the end of intercession for the Kingdom of Heaven (144,000 and Saints) as they no longer need it, being sealed in righteousness. At this time judgment moves to the outer court which is the kingdom of the world (42 months, Rev.11:1 and on)..

Hijack? Hey, check out the name of this thread. Subject matter for this thread may have taken a diversion, but only to set a firm foundation in order to rightfully understand prophecy.
