Maschil Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I;m starting to realize we are emphasizing to much on sinless perfect, its interesting that we have record of Elisha's sins yet He is translated, no record of any sins of Enoch but He is translated, Moses sins one big sin specifially and isn't translated.... All throughout the Bible it seems that God is emphasizing willigness to obey... As in the parable jesus gave in Mark 4, the seed, blade, and etc... are perfect at every stage, so are we, if we are wiling to obey God wherever He bids us. Quote

Joh 17:17,19 "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth."For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. For their sakes I sanctify Myself... It is the truth that sanctifies nothing else. If you have not the truth you cannot be sanctified nor are you righteous. It is the evil one who wants us to believe it is an impossibility and that God knows this and was forced to make another way for salvation or He would not have been able to save anyone. Quote

Moses and the men of fighting age who left Egypt disobeyed and were kept out. The Israelites disobeyed and were cast out, they never obeyed and were kept out. The man without the wedding garmet is cast out. The five foolish have not the Holy Spirit (no sanctification) and are kept out.... Quote

Context...... what does perfect mean... according to the context...It's not impossible, but lets remember the emphasis Jesus placed on it, Heb 8 10-16 Law in mind and heart, that covers deeds and thoughts.... God wants willingness to have that law in our hears, He will work out the sinlesness in our lives, its not something that should cause burden in our own walks with Christ who yields obediance Quote

He says if you abide in My word you are truly disciples of Mine and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free (John 8:31,32). He also said He would send His Spirit to us (Disciples, because we are abiding is His word), to lead us into all truth. So it is not a power thing but submission to and learning from the God of truth. Quote

Just as the Son of God taught His disciples so the Holy Spirit teaches us. John 15:15-21 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 "After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because RI live, you will live also. "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. "He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him." Jesus is saying I will not leave you alone, but will send the Spirit of Truth to continue what He had started and it continues to our time. Quote
