We can again dabble in the small talk of loving God above all else and loving each other as we love ourselves. We can pick the football topic again next year. O wait - Is March Madness coming up? I could hardly be said to spend most of my time with football in particular or sports in general. Most football seasons, the Super Bowl is the only football game I watch. And as far as the Super Bowl and my time spent even on it yesterday, it wasn't nearly a majority of my time on Sunday. And since I spent the time watching it with my family, maybe it was more about the time with family and friends, eating good food while incidentally watching a football game. I was happy to see the Ravens win since they are sort of a home town team. But I wouldn't have suffered had they lost. But if I lose an opportunity to spend time with my family I do suffer. Wasn't the rebuke given Gibs enough? If I were moderator you can bet you wouldn't go unscathed, and it wouldn't go any better for a conservative wanting to humiliate someone either. About all the so called wonderful modern things are the crafts of Satan which could be used for good but mostly are used for evil. If Jesus was here in person nowadays He would be at work hard but not in any of the games of today of big money and that keep people from ever having a serious thought. There is more crookedness goes on in the big sports of today we will not know of until the judgment. I certainly did view it as being very hermeneutical. Coming from a pastor - I viewed it as a joke. Perceptions can differ - That was my take. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. There are two ways to combat legalism and the accompanied personal attacks - You can take it to heart and become a legalist and eventually lost you faith. Or - you can take it lightly and demonstrate what it is in a light and humorous way as Laz did. Well the third way would be to be all serious and demonstrate how Satanic legalism is.
